Using Your FirstLocal Calling Features - Caller ID with Name

Caller ID with name tells you who’s calling before you pick up the phone.  You will see the listed name along with the telephone number of the calling party on the display unit.  The Caller ID display unit also records the names and number of the people who called… even if they don’t leave a message.

To Activate:
After the first ring, you may see one of the following messages on your display unit.

• A name and telephone number : Most display devices also show the time and date.
• “Out of the Area” : This call is from an area not equipped with Caller ID technology, or it is being switched through machinery not equipped for specified service.
• “Private”, “Blocked” or “Anonymous ”: The caller is blocking caller ID.

“Error” : The display unit or telephone cannot identify the caller’s phone number. If this message appears often, call customer care at 1.800.274.1015
